The Centralised Training Day was held on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at Ditton Barracks, Maidstone.
The Remembrance Day and Centralised Training Day are normally held annually on the weekend closest to 21 September, providing an opportunity for members to come together for training while paying special honour and tribute to Late Master Rastra Rai, the Founding President of the Dojang.
Late Master Rastra Rai sadly passed away on 21 September 2023. This year marked the third anniversary of his passing, with 20 September chosen as the day to remember and honour his life, contribution and legacy. The tribute session was conducted by General Secretary Master Ram Prasad Limbu and was also attended by Junior Rastra (Reswon Rai), making the occasion particularly meaningful for all those present.
Before the Centralised Training commenced, a short remembrance ceremony was held. The day began with the lighting of candles by Mrs Sabnam Rai, wife of Late Master Rastra Rai, and Master Premkumar Gurung, President of the Dojang. This was followed by a one-minute silence, observed by everyone present as a mark of respect and remembrance.
Following the tribute, the Centralised Training Day commenced. The training was conducted by Tournament Coordinator Master Deepak Gurung AVP and Master Prakash Rana, bringing members together for a valuable day of training, learning and fellowship.
The occasion provided a meaningful opportunity to combine the regular Centralised Training Day with a moment of remembrance, allowing members to come together to pay their respects to the Founding President while continuing the Taekwondo spirit and legacy that Late Master Rastra Rai helped to establish.
His dedication and contribution to the Dojang continue to be remembered with great respect, and the annual Remembrance Day ensures that his memory and legacy remain an important part of the Dojang for generations to come.
